Corner of West Howard and Connecticut Avenue

Returning to Connecticut Avenue and walking south, you cross over the railroad bridge and can see both the West Howard Avenue Antiques District to the right, and Antique Row across Connecticut Avenue. Three blocks along the tracks to the right, down West Howard Avenue, is an area of numerous warehouses and shops including antique shops, which developed over time.
Further south on Connecticut Ave is a shopping center commercially developed in the mid-1950s, coinciding with the widening of Connecticut Avenue to six lanes.
