10313 Fawcett Street
The design of 10313 Fawcett Street drew its inspiration from the Italian Renaissance. The building’s sense of stability and repose are the result of studied proportions: the relationship of the height and width of the façade, the size and shape of the openings, and their placement. Elements such as the Palladian-type tripartite arched entry with its slender columns, the tripartite window above, the repetition of the entry arch above the windows, as well as the use of stucco were common in 15th century Italy. This house was built in 1923; the balcony over the side porch was enclosed in 1993.
